Such a shame the option to do just the Saturday night is not possible. My little boy thoroughly enjoyed Chorley and District camp however he was exhausted just doing the activities on Saturday and staying just one night. I know he wouldn’t enjoy it half as much being over tired. I’ve been told that the logistics would not be possible, but having been to Bibby’s farm I can’t understand why dropping him off first thing Saturday morning would be an issue. I know several other mums with the same concern. I am willing to pay for both nights too.

Totally agree with the comment above, it is such a shame they will miss out on a great opportunity.

My son has recently joined Beavers as we felt the opportunities offered to him would be great for confidence building. However at 6 years old he isn’t confident being taken out of his comfort zone so staying away from home for a camp for 2 nights just isn’t an option at this time for him. We had talked through with him the possibility of being dropped off on Saturday morning for the daytime activities and then staying just 1 night, which he seemed OK with, as this had been an option at the Chorley and District camp at Bibby’s Farm in April (which he was unable to go on for other reasons).
As the lady before said, I can’t understand how this isn’t logistically possible for the County Beaver Camp, surely it is just one less night of supervision for the leaders as we were also willing to pay for the whole weekend but just stay 1 night. I would appreciate a reply with a further explanation of how this wouldn’t work logistically.

Is there any date/location set for the 2020 Beaver Camp yet?

    Thanks 😊
